WORKSHOP

Staging Change: Future Scenarios with Metis Arts

1:00pm - 2:30pm

How do we make work facing an uncertain future? How do we harness our anxieties about what lies ahead to power our practice of today? The Factory of the Future is a framework, a space for interactions that add up to something bigger than any of us could make alone.

Rigorous research lies behind all Metis projects. They draw on a fascination with maps, space, technology, travel and history to create expressive pieces that connect and unite people. Join Lucy Wray for a workshop which explores how co-imagining the future can help us observe the various challenges we face and focus on what we want for our future, how we want to live as individuals and collectively, and how best to get there.

WORKSHOP

3:00pm - 4:30pm

Total Theatre Award Winners Bert and Nasi explore ideas around disagreement, frustration, hatred and reconciliation – particularly as these relate to contemporary society – using the stage as a space for artistic and political negotiation. How do we prioritise simplicity when talking about very complex matters? How do you inject feeling into facts?
